As an artist,

Hannah Gordon aims to create visual representations of the unseen, such as emotions or thoughts relating to her mental health and identity. By combining the visual and literal aspects of photography with the communicative characteristics of graphic design, Gordon’s work aims to connect with a wide audience, despite being very personal. Gordon’s work tells stories from her trans-racial and trans-national adopted identity. This defining characteristic allows her to build dialogues with others about what it is like to live in a gray area where her identity is greatly defined by her adoptive family and very little by her biology.
